These statements come after an Iranian official previously emphasized that Washington’s insistence on its demand for Iran to stop uranium enrichment is a deliberate move to deadlock the negotiations because American officials are fully aware that Iran will never accept such a condition under any circumstances.
This senior Iranian political official called on the American side to recognize Iran’s genuine commitment to resolving disputes through dialogue.
Meanwhile, representatives from both the Democratic and Republican parties in the US House of Representatives stated in a letter addressed to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Special Envoy for the Middle East, Stephen Whittock, on Friday that any nuclear deal with Iran must permanently eliminate the country’s uranium enrichment capacity.
