The Indian Army’s Chief of Defense Staff confirmed for the first time that a number of Indian fighter jets were shot down in the May clashes with Pakistan.
General Anil Chauhan declined to give the exact number of fighter jets lost, citing the identification and correction of tactical errors.
This is India’s first official acknowledgement of such damage in a confrontation with Pakistan.
