Bill Gates, the fourth richest man in the world and the founder of Microsoft, plans to spend a significant part of his wealth on charity over the next twenty years.
He, who will be 70 years old next October, wrote in his personal blog: After my death, many different things will be said about me, but I decided that this sentence should not be among the things that people will say. He died rich.
There are too many issues that need immediate attention and therefore I cannot allow myself to keep resources that could help others.
Bill Gates added: “So I decided that my wealth would be returned to society faster than I had originally planned.
In the next twenty years, I will donate almost all of my wealth through the Gates Foundation to save human lives and improve their quality of life around the world, and on October 31, 2045, this fund will end its activity forever.
