The Sudanese army announced that it has taken over the south of Khartoum
The Sudanese army announced by publishing photos that it has taken control of the Taybeh al-Hasnab area in the south of Khartoum, the capital of this country.
Al Jazeera news channel also reported, quoting local Sudanese sources, that the Sudanese army has started military operations in the neighborhood of Umm Ramteh, west of Nile Abyad.
The Sudanese military media also reported that the army forces managed to take control of the western side of Kubri al-Manshieh.
Reports indicate that the Sudanese army has been able to recapture the city of Al-Baqer in the south of Khartoum, and also the armored forces of the army have taken control of the headquarters of the land port in the eastern suburbs of Al-Sahafa, Khartoum, at dawn today.
The battle between the army and Sudan’s rapid reaction forces has been going on for nearly two years, during which at least 20,000 civilians have lost their lives and 14 million people have been displaced.
In this battle, most of Sudan’s economic and civil infrastructures have been destroyed, and more than half of the country’s 45 million people are struggling with hunger and food insecurity.
