The Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations said: I express my firm condemnation of the recent hostile statements of the senior officials of the United States of America, including the president of this country.
These statements have been made while the United States of America has been trying to justify its illegal acts of aggression and war crimes against Yemen and has openly threatened to resort to force against Iran while making baseless accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
While adhering to its obligations towards international peace and security, the Islamic Republic of Iran will resolutely defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests within the framework of international law against any hostile action.
