The volume of trade between Pakistan and Uzbekistan will increase to 2 billion dollars

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistani President Shavkat Mirziyoyev agreed in Tashkent to increase bilateral trade to $2 billion.

The President of Pakistan in a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Pakistan stated that the volume of trade between the two countries is now more than 400 million dollars. He said that Pakistan is our trusted partner whose international reputation is increasing.

He added that a direct flight has been launched between Tashkent and Lahore, and soon tourists from both countries will be able to travel between the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara to Karachi.

Also, several memorandums of understanding were signed to strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, including a memorandum of understanding between Tashkent and Lahore on cooperation between news agencies, youth affairs and development of science and technology.

In the following, agreements were signed in the field of visa-free travel for the holders of diplomatic passports, military information, internal officials and for educational and scientific purposes.
