Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that Moscow is not opposed to European participation in the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
Putin emphasized that Brussels has refused any dialogue with Moscow for a long time.
According to Reuters, in an interview with Russian state television, Putin said that US President Donald Trump behaves rationally and does not react emotionally to the crisis in Russia and Ukraine.
Last week, Russian and American representatives in Saudi Arabia held the first round of talks about the war in Ukraine.
However, Ukraine and its European allies were not invited to these talks, which caused negative reactions from them.
