The foreign ministers of Iran and India emphasized on the expansion of relations between the two countries

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi met and talked with Indian Foreign Minister Jay Shankar.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, in this meeting, Araghchi emphasized on the comprehensive development and expansion of relations between Iran and India based on common interests and considered the success of the 19th meeting of political consultations between the two countries in New Delhi as important.

He also emphasized the necessity of continuing consultations and close consultations between Iran and India.

Araghchi met with his Indian counterpart while traveling to Muscat to participate in the 8th meeting of the countries bordering the Indian Ocean.
