According to Israeli media reports, the Rafah crossing on the border of the Gaza Strip and Egypt is to be reopened today.
According to the Hebrew media, “The Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip, which has been closed for about 8 months due to the occupation of the Israeli army, will be opened today.
According to this report, based on the ceasefire agreement between the Israeli regime and the Hamas resistance movement, the Rafah border crossing is scheduled to be reopened this afternoon (Friday, 31th of January).
It is said that the reopening of the Rafah border crossing is done according to the ceasefire agreement between the occupying regime and Hamas, and it is expected that this crossing will be used this afternoon.
It has also been announced that 50 injured people will be transferred from Gaza to Egypt through the Rafah border crossing.
It should be noted that in May 2024, the Israeli army occupied the Philadelphia corridor, where the Rafah crossing is also located.
Following this occupation, the Rafah border crossing, which is the only way of communication between the Gaza Strip and the world, was closed.
