Another humanitarian disaster in Sudan: 70 dead in the bombing of a hospital
At least 70 people were killed and 19 others were injured in an attack on a hospital in the provincial capital of North Darfur region in Sudan.
World Health Organization Director Tedros Adhanom announced on the X social network that at the time of this attack, the Al-Fasher hospital was completely full of patients.
In this attack, the emergency department of the hospital was targeted and many patients, including children, died.
According to the head of the World Health Organization, this Saudi teaching hospital that was bombed was the only hospital still active in al-Fasher, which provides services in the fields of gynecology, internal medicine, surgery and pediatrics, and also had a center for nutrition-related matters. .
Tedros said that yesterday, another health center in Al Malha, located in North Darfur, was attacked, cutting off basic health services to residents and refugees.
