The US Senate on Monday (20th of January) unanimously confirmed former Republican Senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State in the Donald Trump administration.
According to Reuters news agency, Rubio managed to get 99 votes in favor without receiving any dissenting votes.
Rubio is the first nominee of Trump’s cabinet to be confirmed by the US Senate.
