Reuters quoted Syrian sources as saying that Russia has withdrawn its forces from the northern regions and mountains of the Syrian coast, but has not yet withdrawn from its main military bases in Syria.
This British news agency quoted Syrian military and security officials as saying that Russia has withdrawn some of its heavy weapons and senior officers from Syria.
British newspaper Telegraph also reported that more Russian troops are expected to leave Hmeimim Air Base in the coming days.
