Reuters news agency reported that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had a conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani about the formation of a new government in Syria.
Earlier, during his trip to Turkey, Blinken discussed the same issue with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The US Secretary of State has started this trip with the aim of talking with the Turkish and Arab countries about the formation of an inclusive government in Syria, taking into account the rights of minorities in the Middle East.
