Anti-government protests in Islamabad end with Pakistani police and security forces intervening
The police and militia of the Pakistani army arrested 500 protesters in the red zone last night and dispersed thousands of others.
Last night, thousands of Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters gathered against the government in the red zone of Islamabad. They demanded the release of Imran Khan from prison with slogans.
Contradictory news about the status and position of the leaders and organizers of these protests have been published.
Without mentioning the use of force by the security forces against the demonstrators, the government of Pakistan says that Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, as well as Ali Amin Gandapur, the minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and the leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf have fled to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
However, it is said that both of these people are supporters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and they are going to talk to reporters about the events of last night in a press conference.
