Alexander Lukashenko, the president of Belarus and an ally of Russia, arrived in Islamabad on Monday at the head of a delegation of 68 people for a three-day official visit.
He was welcomed at Noor Khan Air Base by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Lukashenko will have extensive discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on bilateral cooperation and interactions during this trip.
Also, several agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed between the two countries.
A day before the arrival of the President of Belarus, a high-level delegation including 68 officials and businessmen of this country arrived in Islamabad.
This delegation includes the ministers of foreign affairs, energy, justice, transportation, natural resources, emergency situations and the head of the Belarusian military industry committee.
In addition, 43 prominent business figures also accompany the delegation.
