The office of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani (Madazla Al-Aali), the authority of Shiite imitation, issued a statement condemning the terrorist attack on innocent travelers in Parachinar, Pakistan, and demanded the security of the country’s Shiites from its government.
The text of the statement of Grand Ayatollah Sistani’s office is as follows:
We pray for patience and speedy healing for the injured and for the martyrs of this bitter incident.
Najaf Ashraf Seminary and Shia Supreme Authority by condemning this horrible crime which has targeted the unity of Muslims, strongly asks the honorable government of Pakistan to think of a solution to protect the defenseless people against the cruelty and crimes of terrorist groups and to take preventive and necessary measures. Consider and do not allow innocent believers to be subjected to violent and brutal attacks by extremist and hard-hearted groups.
We ask the Almighty God for the continued honor and pride of the noble nation of Pakistan
