The United States canceled the payment of 1.6 billion dollars in compensation by Iran

According to Reuters news agency, an appeals court in the United States has canceled the payment of 1.68 billion dollars in compensation by the Central Bank of Iran to the families of the American soldiers who were killed or injured in the 1983 bombing of the American naval base in Beirut.

This sentence was issued by an American federal judge on March 22, 2023, while 241 American soldiers were killed in the October 23, 1983 bombing at the country’s naval base in Lebanon
