Iran’s Kausar and Hodhod satellites were launched into space with the Russian Soyuz launcher

This launch is the first attempt of the country’s private space sector to produce and launch a satellite into space, which is considered a serious step in Iran’s space industry.

Kausar satellite is a sensing satellite with high image resolution, which is designed for various applications, including agriculture, natural resources, environment and crisis management.

Hodhod satellite is a small satellite with communication applications, which is designed to create satellite communication networks and the Internet of Things.

This satellite can provide communication services in remote and inaccessible areas where access to terrestrial communication networks is limited.
