Police said At least 17 students were killed in a fire at a school in Kenya’s Neri town on Thursday night 5th of September.
The death toll is said to rise as dozens of people have been taken to hospital with severe burns.
The cause of the fire at Hillside Andarasha Primary School is under investigation, Kenyan police spokesperson Resela Onyango told the media.
It should be mentioned that fires were reported in schools in Kenya before; In 2017, 10 students died in an arson attack at a girls’ school in Nairobi.
