Russia warns France about the arrest of the owner of Telegram
Russia warned France last Thursday, 22th of August, not to turn the investigation into Telegram CEO Pavel Durov into political harassment.
Russia issued the warning after the 39-year-old billionaire was questioned in France over his Telegram activities.
Durov was arrested on Saturday as he disembarked from his private plane at Paris-Le Bourget airport near the French capital.
According to a source close to the investigation, Durov had emphasized his relationship with the head of the French government during interrogations.
In a meeting with journalists in Serbia, Macron denied issuing any invitation to Durov and said he was unaware of his visit to France.
