Nabil al-Arabi, a veteran Egyptian diplomat, died
Nabil al-Arabi, the former Secretary General of the Arab League and a veteran Egyptian diplomat, died due to illness at the age of 89.
He is known as a veteran Egyptian diplomat because during the years 1985 – (1989) he was the head of the Egyptian delegation to end the conflict between Egypt and Israel over the city of Taba.
He also held the position of legal advisor to the Egyptian delegation during the Camp David Compromise Conference in 1978.
Nabil al-Arabi after the revolution January 25, 2011 Ministry took charge of Egypt’s foreign affairs and on May 15, 2011 ,He succeeded Amr Musa as the secretary general of the Arab League.
