UNAMA chief visits Kandahar to talk to people about alternative drug cultivation
The head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has visited Kandahar to discuss alternative drug cultivation, the provincial governor’s press office said in a statement.
In a meeting with the deputy governor of Kandahar, Ms. Otunbayeva said the UN had provided humanitarian aid to about 26 million Afghans last year and was working to increase the level of aid this year.
