Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, told Al-Arabiya that there was no evidence of the existence of the body of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan.
Mujahid said investigations into the killing of the al-Qaeda leader were ongoing but had not yet reached a conclusion.
These statements are made while US President Joe Biden announced on August 2 that Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed by American forces in Kabul.
