Pentagon: The aircraft carrier’s Roosevelt will arrive in the Middle East next week

The US Department of Defense announced in a statement that the aircraft carrier USS Roosevelt, which replaced the Eisenhower, will arrive in the Middle East next week.

The Pentagon said in the announcement that the aircraft carrier Roosevelt will leave for the region next week after completing exercises in the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

An American naval institute also wrote on Saturday morning, quoting an unnamed American official, that the Eisenhower and its escort destroyer will be moved to the Mediterranean Sea, but under the supervision of the fifth American ship.

The official added that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has decided not to extend the Eisenhower’s mission in the Red Sea and that this ship has been in the Red Sea for more than 8 months.
