Biden and Zelensky signed a 10-year security agreement

US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a 10-year security agreement between the two countries on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Italy.

Reuters reported that Biden said in a joint press conference with Zelensky: “Our goal in signing this agreement is to strengthen Ukraine’s long-term deterrence and defense assurance capabilities.”

According to this report, the heads of the seven Group agreed on Thursday (13th of June) in their meeting to use the profits of Russia’s frozen assets to finance a 50 billion dollar loan to Ukraine.

In this press conference, the President of Ukraine appreciated Biden’s leadership and his support for Kiev.

On the 2th of June Zelensky expressed concern about Trump’s possible decision to impose a bad peace plan on Kiev if he wins the election.

Trump said last year that he is able to resolve the conflict in Ukraine in just 24 hours
