Pezzekian calls for expanding economic cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan

The Iranian Embassy in Kabul says that Iranian President Massoud Pezzekian has emphasized the strategic importance of expanding economic relations with Afghanistan.

Pezzekian, speaking at a meeting of the Iranian government after hearing the report of the country’s Minister of Agricultural Jihad on his trip to Afghanistan, said that the level of cooperation between the two countries should expand beyond the current situation.

The President of Iran has called on the country’s executive institutions to take a serious and problem-oriented approach to remove existing obstacles in the trade and transit route between Afghanistan and Iran.
