Zalmay Khalilzad, the former US envoy for Afghanistan peace, has said on the third anniversary of Imran Khan’s imprisonment that the question is whether this action was in Pakistan’s interest.
Khalilzad wrote on his page X that despite some foreign policy successes, Pakistan is in a worse economic and security situation today than it was three years ago.
He added that Islamabad’s relations with Afghanistan and India have also worsened, and emphasized that Pakistan needs a fundamental review of its policies and internal reconciliation to overcome the current crisis.
