LRussian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko, responding to German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz’s remarks about the country’s participation in France’s nuclear deterrence exercises, said that European Union countries are openly preparing for a military confrontation with Russia.
“The Europeans are really preparing for war with Russia, and unfortunately they are not hiding this, they are talking about it openly,” Grushko told TASS.
He added that the process of militarization of Europe, especially Germany, is not a new issue for Moscow, and Russia will adjust its military and political plans in light of these developments.
The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister also criticized what he called the silence of European countries against German militarization, saying that Europe is ignoring this process.
