According to a report by Aviation East, Italy has deployed Eurofighter jets, an early warning aircraft, radar systems, and anti-drone equipment to Saudi Arabia and some countries in the region.
The report states that about 700 Italian soldiers are also deployed in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain with this equipment.
According to this media outlet, a study of the movements of Italian Air Force aircraft shows that Taif Air Base, known as King Fahd Air Base, is used as a forward operational base for Italian fighter jets.
Aviation East added that the deployment took place over the past few weeks without any official announcement.
