Unidentified drones attack US liquefied natural gas ship in Damietta port, Egypt

Media reports have reported that unidentified drones have targeted a US-owned liquefied natural gas (LNG) ship in the Egyptian port of Damietta on the Mediterranean coast; according to these reports, another ship and a gas loading terminal were also damaged in the attack.

Egypt’s Oil Ministry has announced that a fire on a liquefied natural gas tanker and a storage ship has been contained and that the incident did not cause any casualties or injuries.

According to the ministry, fire, rescue, and safety teams responded immediately after the incident, and firefighting operations were carried out based on crisis management and rapid response plans.
