Germany prepares for deportation of more Afghan citizens

The Ministry of the Interior of the German state of Hesse has announced that the federal government of the country has prepared the ground for the deportation of a larger number of Afghan citizens, and this process will no longer be limited to criminals and individuals who pose a threat to security.

Roman Puzak, the Interior Minister of Hesse, has said that the deportation of criminals remains a priority, but from now on, other Afghan citizens who are required to leave Germany may also be deported.

At the same time, the Hesse State Refugee Council called the decision “irresponsible” and said that such a move is not consistent with human rights principles.
