Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, criticized the country’s government, saying that Islamabad had prepared the ground for the invasion during the US invasion of Afghanistan and that American fighter jets were using Pakistani airspace to carry out attacks.
He also claimed that Pakistan has never prevented the movement of armed individuals into Afghanistan.
In another part of his speech, Fazlur Rehman criticized the failure to register religious schools, saying that the government was pushing students to protest and even take up arms, and then preparing the ground for a military confrontation with them.
