CENTCOM announces the start of attacks on targets in Iran
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that it has launched aggressive strikes against targets in southern Iran in response to the downing of a US Apache helicopter.
CENTCOM claimed in a statement that the strikes were carried out in self-defense and in response to the downing of an American helicopter.
At the same time, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with ABC News that Washington should have responded to the destruction of the Apache helicopter.
“Trump claimed that they shot down one of our helicopters and we are now responding. This response must be strong and powerful.”
So far, Iranian officials have not released a response to these claims and details of the attacks announced by the United States.
