Scientists create largest map of the universe’s magnetic fields

A group of astronomers has unveiled the largest and most detailed map of the universe’s magnetic fields, invisible fields that play a crucial role in the formation and movement of celestial objects.

Scientists have succeeded in identifying and mapping these magnetic fields by using radio telescopes and studying the phenomenon of polarization of light from distant galaxies.

According to researchers, light undergoes changes when it passes through magnetic fields, and these changes make it possible to map the hidden structures of the universe.

The intensity of these fields varies greatly from the regions around black holes and neutron stars to interstellar space, and can range from millions of times weaker to billions of times stronger than Earth’s magnetic field.
