US pledges $400 million in military aid to Ukraine
The United States House of Representatives approved a bill to begin the process of reviewing increased aid to Ukraine and tougher sanctions against Russia by 218 votes to 204.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced at a meeting of the US Senate Appropriations Committee that Washington will provide Ukraine with $400 million in new military aid in the near future as part of a package previously approved by Congress.
This action is taking place while Western military and financial support for Ukraine and sanctions pressure against Russia continue.
