French news sources have reported that the United Nations Security Council, at the request of France, will hold an extraordinary meeting today, Monday, (June 1), to discuss the expansion of the Israeli regime’s military operations in Lebanese territory.
According to reports, the meeting will be held on Monday afternoon, Eastern Time, and the security developments in Lebanon and their consequences for the region will be the focus of the discussions.
France had previously called for an emergency Security Council meeting on Lebanon.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrow said: “We have requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Lebanon.”
