Regional news sources reported that alarm bells were sounding in parts of Kuwait, while several explosions were heard in the Al Jahra area.
Following this incident, the Kuwaiti army announced that the country’s air defense systems had been activated to counter “hostile missiles and drones.”
The Kuwaiti army has also confirmed that the explosions heard were caused by the country’s defense systems intercepting air targets.
Kuwaiti authorities have not yet released further details about the origin of the attacks or the extent of possible damage.
