The media reported that a number of Zionist settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound this Sunday morning (31th of May), with the support of the Israeli police, and began performing Talmudic rituals and singing Jewish religious slogans and hymns.
According to reports, this action was met with widespread reaction and condemnation from Palestinians and Islamic institutions, and was described as a desecration of one of the holiest Islamic sites.
Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem is one of the most important holy sites for Muslims in the world, and the frequent incursions of settlers into this place have always increased tensions in the region.
