Trump’s vice president: Iran and the US are close to an agreement

US Vice President JD Vance announced that Washington and Iran have not yet reached a final agreement, but the two sides are close to reaching an agreement.

Vance said that progress has been made in the negotiations and that Tehran is talking with the United States in good faith, although there are still differences over enriched uranium stocks and the issue of enrichment.

The US Vice President added that it is still unclear when or if Donald Trump will sign the potential memorandum of understanding.

He also claimed that the United States still retains the ability to roll back Iran’s nuclear program, but at the same time expressed optimism about reaching an agreement.

These statements come as reports have emerged about an initial agreement to extend the ceasefire and ease shipping restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz, and it is said that this understanding is awaiting Trump’s final approval.
