Head of the National Environmental Protection Agency participated in the World Urban Forum WUF13 in Azerbaijan
The country’s National Environmental Protection Agency announced that Mawlawi Mati-ul-Haq Khalis, the director general of the agency, has participated in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in the capital city of Baku, Azerbaijan, at the head of an official delegation.
This meeting was held with the participation of representatives from more than 180 countries at the initiative of the United Nations Human Settlements Program, and its focus is on sustainable urban development, combating climate change, and creating safe and resilient cities.
The Afghan delegation is scheduled to share the country’s views and needs in the areas of climate change, drought, air pollution, and urban development with international institutions in specialized meetings of this forum.
