Afghanistan and Qatar emphasize expanding bilateral relations and cooperation
The Office of the Prime Minister has announced that Dr. Abdul Wase, Director General of the Office of the Prime Minister, met and held talks with Mirdif bin Ali Al-Qashoty, Qatar’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, at the Presidential Palace.
According to published information, the Qatari ambassador called his country’s relations with Afghanistan historic and strong and said that Doha is trying to expand its cooperation and development projects in Afghanistan.
He also considered positive relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan important for the economy, security, and stability of the region, and emphasized Qatar’s efforts to help resolve the problems between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abdul Wase described the relations between Afghanistan and Qatar as important and appreciated Qatar’s role in supporting peace and stability in Afghanistan over the past two decades.
He concluded by emphasizing that the Islamic Emirate seeks positive relations with countries in the region and the world based on mutual respect and Afghanistan’s national interests.
