Pakistan’s ambassador to Kabul urges Afghanistan to take action against security threats
Pakistan’s ambassador to Kabul, Obaidur Rehman Nizamani, has called on the Islamic Emirate to take specific action against threats that Islamabad claims originate from Afghanistan.
He made these remarks at a ceremony at the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul on the anniversary of Operation Bonyan Marsus against India, emphasizing the continuation of brotherly relations between the two countries.
Nizamani also said that Pakistan has played a role in diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions between Iran and the United States, calling these actions a sign of Islamabad’s commitment to regional and global peace.
In another part of his speech, he emphasized that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be interpreted as weakness.
Pakistani officials have repeatedly claimed that some militant groups are using Afghan territory against Pakistan, a claim that the Islamic Emirate has denied and stressed that Afghanistan is not responsible for Pakistan’s security problems.
