Submitting a draft resolution against Iran in the Security Council regarding the Strait of Hormuz
Marco Rubio has announced that the United States will introduce a draft resolution at the United Nations Security Council to support freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to him, this plan was prepared with the participation of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
According to the provisions of this plan, Iran is asked to stop mine-laying attacks and collecting tolls in the Strait of Hormuz.
The resolution also calls on Iran to announce the number and location of naval mines and cooperate in the process of clearing them.
Rubio added that changes have been made to the text of the resolution to prevent a possible veto.
