Araqchi: We have no negotiations with America and we do not accept a ceasefire

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi emphasized in an interview with Al Jazeera that there are no negotiations between Iran and the United States, and they will not accept a ceasefire.

He said that we only receive messages from the United States, some directly and some through regional friends, and we respond to them when necessary, but this exchange of messages does not mean negotiations.

Araqchi added that so far they have not given any response to the 15-point US plan, and no conditions have been presented.

Rejecting any divisions in the Iranian system, he said that all messages are carried out under the supervision of the Supreme National Security Council and with complete coordination.

Regarding guarantees, Araqchi said that even the Security Council’s guarantee is not enough for Iran and that we will not accept America’s deadlines.

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, he also stated that this waterway is currently closed to ships of countries involved in the war with Iran, and after the war, arrangements for it will be determined by Iran and Oman.

He warned that the Americans would face a heavy defeat and high casualties in the event of a ground attack, and that Iran was prepared to defend itself vigorously.
