High-level Afghan economic delegation led by the Minister of Industry and Trade leaves for Uzbekistan

A high-level delegation headed by Nooruddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, traveled to Uzbekistan to expand economic cooperation, investment, and bilateral trade.

According to the spokesman for the Balkh governor, the delegation includes Mohammad Yousuf Wafa, the governor of Balkh, heads of departments of related sectors, national investors, traders and industrialists of the province.

The delegation is scheduled to meet with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khajayev and the governors of several provinces of the country and discuss the development of economic relations, increasing joint investment, and strengthening trade cooperation.

This trip is aimed at achieving the goal of increasing bilateral trade volume to $5 billion and exploiting the two countries’ shared transit and industrial opportunities.
