Gordon Brown’s global policy of appeasement against the Islamic Emirate has intensified the oppression of women

Gordon Brown, former British Prime Minister and UN Special Envoy for Global Education, strongly criticized the international community’s approach towards the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in an article in the Guardian newspaper, warning that “the policy of leniency and appeasement towards the Taliban’s actions has intensified the systematic oppression of women and girls and seriously jeopardized the economic and human future of Afghanistan.”

Brown emphasized that the lack of sufficient international pressure on the Islamic Emirate to restore the rights of women and girls, especially access to education and work, is not only a humanitarian disaster but has also become a major obstacle to sustainable development and long-term stability in Afghanistan.

In response to these criticisms, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced that the country has its own values, laws, and internal system, and called on all countries and international organizations to respect these values and not interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.
