Ukraine’s attack on Voronezh, Russia, with 4 long-range American ATACMS missiles, all intercepted

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday, November 19, 2025, that the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out attacks against targets in the Russian city of Voronezh using four US-made ATACMS long-range tactical operational missiles on November 18.

According to the ministry, advanced S-400 and Pantsir-1 air defense systems intercepted and destroyed all the missiles launched, and no civilians were harmed, although the remains of the destroyed missiles caused minor damage to the roofs of an orphanage and a residential building.

The Russian Defense Ministry added that the missile launch site was identified near the village of Volovska Balaklia in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine, and in response, two American MLRS rocket launchers, along with their ammunition and crew of up to 10 people, were destroyed by Iskander-M missiles.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army also confirmed the attack, describing it as a prominent event in the use of long-range weapons to strike Russian military targets.
