Heavy rains and a cold wave submerged hundreds of tents of Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip.
This incident has put the lives of thousands of people, including children and pregnant women, at serious risk.
A Palestinian mother in her last month of pregnancy living in Khan Yunis said: “My body, my children’s bodies, and even the fetus inside my womb are shivering from the cold.”
He added that in the middle of the night, while his children were sleeping, water seeped into their tent, soaking everything.
This critical situation has highlighted the urgent need for refugees for safe shelter, blankets and winter assistance.
