Netanyahu’s Hamas has violated the agreement by keeping Rafah port closed

The Hamas movement announced on Sunday hat Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has violated the obligations of the prisoner exchange agreement by continuing to close the Rafah port.

The official Hamas statement states: “Closing Rafah Port and preventing the exit of the wounded and sick and the movement of citizens on both sides of the border, as well as preventing the entry of equipment necessary to search for those missing under the rubble and tools for identifying bodies, will cause severe delays in the rescue operation and the delivery of the bodies of the victims.”

Hamas emphasized that these actions by the Israeli regime disrupted the process of exchanging prisoners and bodies, and placed responsibility for any delay in the handover of the Pakistani bodies on Netanyahu.

This statement was issued as Hamas recently handed over two more bodies of Israeli prisoners to the Red Cross.

Hamas officials warned that the closure of Rafah port would jeopardize the ongoing mediation talks and could have serious consequences for the peace process.
