US military convoy with 50 military vehicles arrives in Baghdad

Iraqi security sources reported that a military convoy consisting of 50 US military vehicles passed through the Falcon Gate in western Baghdad, located on the international road connecting Anbar Province with the capital, and entered the city.

According to informed sources, the convoy includes armored vehicles, mine detectors, and large trailers carrying support and combat equipment, according to Iraqi media outlets such as Asharq Al-Awsat and Al-Sumaria News.

The movement of this convoy, which is considered one of the largest US military movements in Iraq in recent months, was carried out under strict security measures and with the deployment of Iraqi forces along the route.

Iraqi sources emphasized that this movement is part of routine logistical operations and troop rotations based on security agreements between Baghdad and Washington, and its aim is to reinforce American bases in the region, including Ain al-Assad in Anbar province.

The United Nations and the Arab League have called on Baghdad to exercise closer oversight of its national sovereignty
